The Challenge?

Electronics is one of the biggest categories on Amazon and brims with opportunities for relevant brands. With White Friday coming up, we anticipated an increase in traffic on Amazon and wanted to make sure our brand seized all the conversion opportunities that came with it during the sales event.

However, we had limited visibility in both UAE and KSA before we took over in November. Therefore, building and executing an advertising strategy to help the brand earn much-needed visibility in a crowded category and drive sales, within less than a month, during White Friday was a challenge Team Accrue had to overcome.

Shaping an Ad Strategy

The lack of optimized advertising strategies was leading to fewer branded searches before we took over. Our advertising specialists implemented a brand defense strategy by aggressively bidding on branded search terms, working to ensure our deal ASINs had maximum visibility and secured top-of-search through Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands.

Competing in a crowded category, we realized we needed to go beyond our branded search terms to reach and engage a wider audience base. With this in mind, our teams built and executed strategies to own relevant category keywords to reach interested customers and maximize conversions.

Ensuring Optimum Performance During the Sales Period

Understanding the impact of retargeting, we uncovered customers who had previously engaged with the brand or in the category and retargeted them with our ads to improve conversions.

Our teams continued to monitor budget consumption in real-time throughout the sales period to prevent the campaigns from going out of budget ensuring they were always on and running to drive sales.

These optimizations and budget replenishments were taking place in real-time and throughout White Friday to make sure our brand kept winning and capturing the opportunities that came its way.

Our goal was to maximize sales during White Friday (November 22–29) in UAE and KSA by targeting adults who are passionate about the latest technology trends and eager to invest in innovative, value-added electronics.

Our advertising strategy, real-time monitoring, and prompt decision-making enabled the brand to unlock new milestones and remarkable results during White Friday 2023.

In UAE, a 50% increase in advertising investment paired with our expert-backed strategies resulted in a 100% MoM increase in sales. In KSA, Sponsored Ads helped drive 91% of the orders during White Friday, while our DSP strategies helped the brand reach over 200K unique users, generating 76% New-to-Brand sales.
